Foxglove Covert Nature Reserve - Courses

The Reserve offers occasional courses on subjects generally, but not exclusively, associated with a conservation theme.

The courses run from a single event lasting a few hours to a full day. The courses are usually open to anyone who wishes to take part.

In 2006 our range of courses was greatly reduced due to changes in the way in which they are funded. In the past a course could be offered to individuals by local colleges at a reasonable price. However, this has changed and courses are now offered at a more economically viable price. This means that, to run a course might cost eight or ten times as much as it did in the past. As a result of these changes, we are no longer able to offer a structured range of courses.

Other organisations like the Mammal Society, our Bee-Keepers and others do run courses at Foxglove and many of these are open to non-members.

We also hold many interesting events such as the Bird Song Supper, Moth Night, Insect Identification and more.
