Grey Wagtails can be seen searchinig for insects at the lake and cascading ponds. They have usually left the reserve by autumn.
Spotted Flycatcher - Muscicapa striata

Wheatear - Oenanthe oenanthe

Great Tit - Parus major
These birds are busy across the reserve. The male has the larger black stripe down its breast, the female a much narrower one. Many of the nest boxes around the reserve are used by the Great Tits.
Eurasian Tree Sparrow - Passer montanus
Grey Partridge - Perdix perdix
Coal Tit - Periparus ater
Cormorant - Phalacrocorax carbo
Common Pheasant - Phasianus colchicus

Common Redstart - Phoenicurus phoenicurus
This species was recorded as breeding for the first time in June 2011. The young were ringed in the nest.

Bullfinch - Pyrrhula pyrrhula
Over 3000 Bullfinches have been ringed at Foxglove. Quite often these birds can be seen feeding from the hopper in the back garden, or flitting between the trees along the access road.
