Children’s autumn activities

Last week, we held the first (and certainly not the last!) of our woodland storytelling sessions. These were run alongside our autumn family activity days which encouraged families to visit the reserve to get involved with autumnal crafts and games. This time, we made pinecone bats and animal masks!Children’s autumn activities blog post image Spiders and bats crafted out of pinecones, card and pipecleaners

Our storytelling sessions were a paid event in which children sat around our log circle to listen to a story, and then got to explore the many games and activities set out in the woods.

Children and adults alike had lots of fun getting involved to find where all the characters lived, imagining up tasty treats in the woodland café, playing fairy ring hoopla, and searching for minibeasts!

Given how successful this event turned out, it's a no brainer that we've already started looking ahead to see what other stories we can bring to the woods. We hope you join us next year for even more woodland adventures!
