Red Fescue - Festuca rubra


Meadowsweet - Filipendula ulmaria

The name is a corruption of the older name mede-sweete, as the plant was used to flavour mead which was made from fermented honey.

The flowers can be seen and the scent noticed during June through to August.

Wild Strawberry - Fragaria vesca

The flowers of Wild Strawberry are slightly larger than those of Barren Strawberry. They also produce a sweet fruit.
